Slow As A Snail- Fast As A Turtle

Exercise, everyone has their own self made portrait that is stored in the rolodex of their mind. Our reaction to the mere mention of exercise puts our muscles into a workout without ever stepping foot into the gym. As soon as we divorce, we find ourselves looking some many things, that something that we can’t find. Nothing in your life is the same and any routine that you did have has melted away. Funny, how the very thing we need right now, disappeared when we need it the most disappears. In a panic stricken state, we go to a gym using machines that we don’t even know how to use, and we lift crazy amounts of weights. We turn over in the middle of the night and we hurt, our first clue as to how sore we will be

It’s time to change our exercise perception to beauty, self confidence and self control and ultimately freedom ! Once we achieve a daily, weekly and monthly exercise regime, an entirely new world opens up to us. Lets get started !

First we will need a piece of paper and pen, I’ve found that writing things down reinforces our goal. Now think of 5 things that you will have or 5 things you will be able to do once you worked out for one week. Then do the same thing for week two, week three and week four and five. The fifth week is for added measure. You are the only one who will see what you write down , and you are the only one who will see what you don’t do. Make sure you are honest on every level especially yourself.. You are too important to be cheating yourself . You are too great of a person to leave your own awesomeness behind. Male or female, don’t you think it’s time to too bring the real you out and, it always feels great when your ex spouse see’s you and you are so not the woman from yesterday !

Special Note- Before you begin any exercise regime ,please speak with your doctor and make sure that you are cleared for physical activity.

Some people prefer to eat something small but high in protein before their walk, I think it is a matter of personal preference. When I walk, I build up an appetite. Eating before hand gives your body the fuel that it needs to complete your regime. You will want to start eating healthy and begin to develop good eating habit.

Each morning as you get up, swing your legs over the side of the bed ,and sit for a moment ,and wake up, Time to stretch your body. Slowly and gently roll your head in circles, 3 times to the right and 3 times to the left. Then tilt you head down and then backup, do this 3 times. Drink plenty of water throughout your day. We are going to start very slow but we need to be consistent . For those of you that exercise every day, please maintaine your safety practices.

Next, time to get out of bed and do 5 toe alternate toe touchs- 5 to the right and 5 to the left. March in place for 10 minute. As for our exercise, walk 2 miles in total every day. One more out, and one mile back.
This may not seem like much of anything but remember, this is for health. Now is the most important time that exercise will due you the best, you’ll need it to help maintain some sense of normalcy during one of the biggest changes in your life.

Exercising provides an outlet for us emotionally. We are focusing on ourself ,and the muscles we are working on, at the same time we are learning control and spacing reps. I think everything in life and everything that we encounter are interwoven , it’s just the matter of finding the balance and maintaining your stride. You will survive this stagnant air just as long as you keep your focus on you ,and participate only in positive events, hangout with happy people who view life through a variety of opportunities to create the health, the wealth and life that you want and deserve.

In about 21-24 days, I will check back in, and see how everyone is doing ,answer any questions. Until them remind yourself of one thing, You can change, and you can do it !
