Tiffany Beverlin got the idea following her own divorce. She was a single mom with three children and she was trying to make ends meet. One night she had a dream that she was struggling to sell her engagement ring.

“And in the middle of the dream I went, ‘Oh, that’s silly. I’m just going to sell it on my website called DreamsRecycled.com, because there must be thousands of women like me.”

In her home office in Orlando, Beverlin showed me an example of a designer wedding dress — that she says cost almost $4,000 new — for sale on the website for around $300. She says similar discounts can be found on wedding and engagement rings.

“I’ve had amazing people tell me amazing stories of moving on and finding happiness,” she says. “I love my job.”
