Single Working Mothers-The Unsung Heroes!

Mothers, with out running the risk of starting a Mother vs Mother war…I know personally all Mothers work super hard being a parent is work, its physical , mental and emotional non stop work.
I want to however draw attention to and commend all the single working mothers of the world…you in my opinion have the hardest job there is.
Why do I get to say that , well I have done it all,
I have been a stay at home mother with 3 children under 6 with a husband that was away the vast majority of the time.
I have worked in corporate America 60 hour work weeks for years.
However when I got divorced I realized by far which was the hardest job of all is.
Trying to do it all….alone!
Not living off alimony and moaning that you can’t shop enough.
Not ditching my children on my ex or anyone else but regaining full custody of them.
Not having anyone give me a full time job with benefits and vacation.
I like many women in my situation end up having to literally do it all…some work multiple jobs, are the sole bread winners have partners husbands that don’t ever return to the scene.I realize there are hundreds of thousands of women out there who struggle daily to just feed and support their children anyway they can.
God bless these women…they work unbelievably hard..
They sacrifice, they don’t sleep, they budget , they go without things they need, they rarely have time to date, they work around the clock 24/7 365 days a year…cleaning their homes, cooking for their children, doing homework and school projects, ironing on Girl Scout badges, budgeting, saving, making birthday cakes and holiday miraculously appear with limited resources. They teach their children to be up standing members of society, give them moral guidance, love them unconditionally. They are the employee, the chef, the nurse, the teacher, the taxi driver, therapist, housekeeper, breadwinner. They don’t buckle under the never ending pressure of trying to do it all. They don’t turn to drinking or drugs or partying to escape, they don’t leave their kids alone or moan about having no them time. They are modern day Heroes the tireless workers, educators of their offspring. They show by example every day what it means to be a hard working, positive, responsible, independent, strong women and Mother. Think about it for a moment you are doing your regular work job to pay your own bills, now throw in having to feed cloth house numerous other beings, throw in having a child or two or three constantly attached to you at your work texts, calls, Dr appointments, teacher conferences, worry about their health, their grades, what you are cooking for dinner if everyone has clothes cleaned, who has a doctors appointment, what day you signed up to chaperone a trip, how you are going to find an extra $1000 for a new fridge excuse your fridge broke, are your bills going to get paid…and you really will start to see a small slice of a regular day in the life of a single working mother.
These Mothers that with no support and little resources can create such great kids, great careers, great lives for themselves and their children we have to applaud, so many, many women fall to the other side as a single parent, they fail themselves they fail their children they just give up.
So with Mothers Day here, I personally wanted to recognize this special kind of mother as our unsung heroes, if you know one of these mothers go out of your way wish them happy Mother’s Day, send them flowers, let them know someone noticed the hard work and success they are achieving, because I guarantee you on Mother’s Day these are the mothers who won’t get gifts, cards and flowers who won’t be recognized when they should be for their outstanding ability to keep it all together, and do it all.
God bless them all , and know that if like me you are one of these Moms that your job may not be full of tangible rewards, pay or recognition but you are doing the world a great service raising these remarkable children alone to be the stable, moral, loving, educated future generation of America!

Hats off to you on Mothers day and every day!

This site and idea behind the site could not be more brilliant as so the CEO and owner of this company. To have the entire package in one person…..beauty, intelligence and a truly great person. This woman and company are going far.

I completely agree with the post. Women who work and oversees children and home are real heroes. They have more strength and sacrifice power than a man. Numerous single parents send their children to preschool or day care centers with the goal that they can work for their better future.
